THE POTTERTON KINGFISHER DOES NOT EVEN HAVE A THERMOCOUPLE YOU DINGBATS!!! IT HAS SPARK IGNITION AND PCB CONTROL., IF PILOT LIGHTS, BUT NO LOCKOUT OR MAIN BURNER< TRY CHANGING THE GAS VALVE SOLENOID NO.2 COIL call yourselves Engineers????

nothing wrong with thermo anyway and you can't change it unless your gas registered.

i'd check the air pressure switch and pipes first.

thats right its doing nothing only lighting piliot and running fan uniiversal thermo dosent look like the one on this boiler -connection wise

john maher, July 2009
no if the pilets alight and stays alight its not the thermocouple.

is it not lighting on hw or heating ?

no my piliot was lighting before i bough it i thought
it might be the reason for not fireing main boiler

what do you mean you tried to fit.
you must have fitted it correct or you wouldn't have a pilot light.
