My Whirlpool Washer (SM8280869) won't drain?

I checked the hoses and all seem okay (not kinked or anything). It spins and makes a humming noise but the water stays put and/or drains on my floor.

Sounds like either the pump itself has got something jammed in it, or the pump has packed up.

Unplug he machine from the mains electricity. Disconnect the drain hose and hold down low into washing up bowl to let the water syphon out. If that doesn't work, tip the machine back at an angle and remove the feed hose to the pump. Ensure you've got a bowl and lots of towels as it can be a bit messy. Remove hoses and pump and check for obstructions. You could find a coin or something of that nature - usually out of your pockets!

If there is nothing in the pump, chances are the pump is faulty and it means a replacement.

Good luck
