my tv has purple bloges on the bottom, was only in the cornner but now its all over the bottom, is their anything i can do myself or do i have to take it somewhere? thankz

Ensure no magnetic sources like external speakers next to the t.v.
Pull the mains plug out and leave out for a couple of hours and try again. If still faulty you will require to check the degausing posistor (this is the component that supplies current to the degausing coil wrapped around the tube and only operates when the set is initially switched on from the mains cold and will not operate in standbye).
An external degusing coil will also do the trick but the sets own coils should work.
