BATHROOM PULL CORD LIGHT SWITCH?

Help! My bathroom light will not work. At first, thought it was the bulb, then realised the pull cord was not 'clicking' properly. Opened up the ceiling rose and the cord section and reseated the various bits which I thought had solved the problem. Reconnected and although it now 'clicks', the light will not come on. With my limited knowledge of electrics I have checked that all connections are OK on both the switch and those to the light bulb itself and all seems fine. Does anyone know where the problem may lie?

the pull cord works on a tumbler motion if lights are not working the tumbler is not in the right place suggest you change the switch it does not cost much

Its buggered, get a new switch. Pull cord switches are quite complicated compared with a normal switch and a damaged mechanism is not an unusual occurrance
