why is the speed wrong?

when the economy spare is fitted , it reeds the wrong speed to the sat nav, i have try'd this twice . it was a vaxhall club 1300 ... year 2008

It is a smaller diameter and should make your speedo read fast. (Turns more often for the same true speed).
