Help with my LG washing machine?

The drum on my machine has started to make alot of noise during the cycle as though it has worked loose

My 15 month old LG has just destroyed itself, due to a foreign object (yet to be determined) entereing between inner and outer bowl. I would say that you have an object lodged between the bowls. If it does not find its way into the filter it will eventually punch a hole in the plastic outer bowl. Sugest you ring LG on how to remove object, as damage is not covered by warranty. LG seems to have too much gap between inner & outer bowls which allows objects in between the two bowls. You must ensure that no loose objects can come off any clothes (buttons etc)

Providing it isn't just something rattling around inside it is probably bearing failure.

There are two bearings and a seal on the drum shaft but the machine needs a fair amount of dismantling to replace them. If you don't feel you can tackle the job then give your local appliance repair man a call for a quote.
