Our Dualit kettle SKU 72400, Model JKT3, around 5 years old has a none functioning switch - press it down and the orange light comes on, but the switch comes back up immediately. Is this fixable - and if os, how? Any help appreciated

Exactly the same has happened to our three-year-old Dualit kettle JKT2. Rang the Masterspares website, who told me it is a throwaway product and cannot be mended.
I'm sorry if that it not v helpful. Nevertheless there are three screw heads at the bottom of my kettle and I'm going to try to get into it. I'll come back here if I have any success!
