i have a beech wood draing board ?but it has got marks on the top where there has been a wet sponge left to dry out and it has left a dull blackish colour i have re sanded it down to try and get it out but you can still see where the sponge has been .it has teak oil rubbed into make it water proof is any body out there that could helpl me thnks
sand well then finish with a hard wax oil such as osmo oil this leaves a solid finish on the bord this is what we use on ours

About the only thing you can do Liz is to sand it down some more - by machine, naturally! Eventually you should get the stain out. Its possible to stain the whole board slightly darker too, but you may not want to do this.
