How do I remove a barrel lock from upvc door?

I am trying to remove a barrel lock in my upvc door. I have drilled the lock just under where the key goes in but the little pins didn't fall out and I can't budge the lock do I need to drill both sides or am I missing something else (I have removed the screw that holds the lock in) Many thanks

you only need to drill out halfway through barrel at 6 or 7 mm then turn with a screwdriver to unlock then remove bolt through edge of door and replace barrel you wiil see you need to turn new barrel slightly with key to refit then refit bolt check also size of barrel and get the correct one

Yes, you need to drill out the lock on both sides to enable you to turn the barrel about 30 degrees, then the lock should come out easily.
