My 60 series Kenmore washing machine just stop working. This machine is used only on weekends and its not abused with heavy loads. It stop working after the rinse cycle. I pulled the knob to begin another load and all it did was a hummm sound. Please help me if you have encounter the same problem. The machine model is 110.81863120. Kenmore brand. Serial number CA2310915. I will appreciate your assistance. Thanks.

Will the washer spin ok? I am trying to figure out where the humming noise is coming from. If you are washing in hot or warm water try filling the washer with cold. If you use cold to wash, try using hot. We could be dealing with a bad motor or a bad water valve. Start here anyway.
