how do i aline my tv arial ?

how do i aline my free viewTV areial for best signal other than look at every other ones in the area. is there a meter or something.

Start by aligning it to matcvh the other sin the aera.

Now plug a FreeView TV or TV and Freeview set top box into it. Go to one of the Freeview channels and bring up the signal strength meter on the screen. (Sets vary in how you do this. It will be in ther handbook.)

First of move the aerial gently until you get the best signal. Now move it a little to the left until the signal drops away. Then move the aerial to the right until you achieve EXACTLY the same drop off of signal. Now centre the aerial between those two points.

BTW there is no such thing as a Freeview aerial, Digital aerial, etc. They are all just aerials - no matter what it says on the box.

if you could see the tv , as you were lineing up the ant , it would help , im not saying put the tv on the roof , "if you have it in a back wall and can see the tv as your working with it , would be , good or get a friend to help on their mobile,
