My garage roof needs replacing as its about to cave in and has asbestos on it. I have been told that i can replace it with the following :-

Coregated roof
Plastic roof
Metal roof

Not sure what these are or which one is best. Please help !

Bob is quite right, do not use steel as it will rust your tools. My garage roof is plastic covered steel profile and it's a winter nightmare. I'm hoping to replace it with light weight tiles which will require extra woodwork.

Any tiype of corrugated roofing *or board and felt anything other than metal, unless you don't mind condensation throughout the winter rusting away all your tools. *for boarding you may have to re-inforce the roof structure as it would be heavier than the asbestos. Metal fine in a hot country but unless you paint the outside white to reflect some of the heat i'tll be hot in summer.

first take old roof off check wood under and replase as need and then use steel roof is the best to replace. mike
