when switching on my samsung LE46M87BD lcd tv i get about 2 seconds of picture then the picture goes off but sound remains,no light in the back of the set either.TV about 2 years old HELP!.
Before ordering the kit: The components are found in the inverter section of the power supply board. Check the components listed carefully.
Board numbers: BN44-00168b
Fault symptom: No/ Slow start up. Stuck in stand by
The repair kit contains the following components:
• CM802 = 1000uf
• CM803 = 1000uf
• CM812 = 1000uf
• CM813 = 1000uf
• CM807 = 1000uf
• CM808 = 1000uF
• CS804 = 1000uF
• IC1803 (found on main board)

I have just come back from a brief vacation to find my Samsung of exactly the same model doing the same thing: all sound but no picture. Less than 2 years old. Any solutions please??

looking around this site it sounds like some capacitors burning out,waiting/hoping for a little more info before attempting a repair.
