I have this type of combi boiler and it was displaying 'EA' we reset boiler and for a time it was displaying flashing numbers which increased to 50 and a symbol which I can only describe as two vertical and two horizontal lines. '-||-' (as near as I can get it)

happens every time you turn the power of

ie power cut its totally normal!!!!!!!
