broken handle on metal window?

the handle has broken off I can still open the window as there is another handle further up the frame but I would like to mend the handle if possible

When you say a metal window, i take it you mean Aluminium.
If it was a steel window it is normally a case of just undoing a nut at the rear of the handle and replacing.
If it is an aluminium handle then is it rivoted or screwed.
If screwed just remove and replace with new.
If it is rivoted it can be more difficult.
Many of the early aluminium have a small gaskett inside and there is not enough room to drill out the old rivot and replace without removing the glass.
If you try this without removing the glass you will probally crack the unit.
Handles are available from ourselves and the cost would be approx £15.00 inc postage.
Hope this helps any further issues give us a ring on 07877-836798
