how can i restore my desk top to to it original state if i cant find the computor code

did not work
what i need to do is reset my desk top to factory setting
but i cant find the revert cd that came with the computor
so i need the code that was on the cd label to be able to do it is there a way that i can get this code the system is windors xp home edition

shut down your computer and then restart it when it begins to restart press and hold the F10 key until the set up mode kickes in then scroll down to keep settings and exit. the computer should revert back to it's origional settings.
