POTTERTON LYNX 2 BOILER?

I have a problem with this rotten boiler, as many before have noted most of the boards has been replaced and now we only get hot water when we put the heating up to 20 or higher. Does any one have any ideas as to how to correct this without it costing an arm and a leg?

From brief explained symptoms, I would say the hot water divertor is faulty. This is a component that reconizes you are running hot water. However, if diaphram split your boiler will not fire for hot water. This is a cheap part to buy approx £11.00.
An engineer should be able to complete this repair no more than two hours.
