Mobile Home Light Switches?

I was an electrician in another life and have been appalled at what I found in my mobile home. They don't even have boxes for the outlets or switches they have self contained plastic somethings. Well i had a switch go bad and when I took it off the wall and opened the box they have no pole screws or anything else to hook the wires to except these copper slots. Well the slots are so small that I can't get the ding dang wires in the slots. Do they have a special tool or technique for this?

Yes they do make a tool for pushing the wire into the copper slots, its costs about $ 500.00 which is crazy. You can make your on if you have a grinder buy grinding down a old screw driver and putting a slot in the end.

Is it similar to the telephone sockets, where they have a very small 'slot' ?

If so, try your local hardware store for a telephone socket tool, or maybe you can fashion one yourself!
