Fix a DeLonghi Microwave?

Our Microwave a DeLonghi ED8525S has packed up, though the grill & oven part work, just no microwave!
It was purhased from Homebase or Argos.
Any ideas and is it repairable?

Thanks Patrick.
Whilst I have no qualms about the electrics,
getting inside the box is easier said than done to locate the said fuse. Having released all the fixings the wiring harness prevents much movement, and of course the back plate is rivetted.
Looks like a 'no-can-do'!

Hi Mike, the most likely fault is the failure of the 5000volt fuse linking the magnetron to the high voltage transformer. This it goes without saying is not an area for the untrained. We have found recently that a large number of budget microwaves from the Argos etc range are a badge sale not a manufacturer designed and supported item, therefore you are left with thier after sales service. For that read non. Having said that we have on many occassions simply replaced the fuse and all has been well, despite what I preach about fuses. This tends to point to the possiblity of a substandard part. If memory serves theses fuses are 750ma x 5000 volt. contact me via microwave-repairs.co.uk
