How do I unlock on my Mitsubishi HS-520 video recorder?

The child lock got activated recently and having lost my instructions I can't seem to unlock it. Does anyone have any ideas?

Try putting your TV on standdby mode.
hold the data on screen button for 10 seconds, until the LOCK indicator appears on the VCR fluro display.
