Stopped Staiger radio controlled clock ?

My Staiger radio controlled wall clock just stopped and despite trying several new batteries it won't start again. Can this type of clock be repaired.

Put the clock by a window for a while to pick up the wireless signal. It could still take a couple of hours though, in my experience.

My Steiger Space Timer keeps the time but the second hand remains static in the one o'clock position. Yet on changing the battery it will whizz round until the both the hour and minute hand reach the 12 o' clock position; then once the timing signal is being received the 2nd hand then advances 5 seconds and then halts.

my clock battery needed changing when i changed the battery the clock stopped, after afew attempts the hands move and come to a stop

My problem with the clock was 1, not finding the signal. 2, running 4hours slow.
After changing batteries etc. the clock would not find signal again and continually searched. My final act before throwing the clock away was to tighten the battery connections! Low and behold the clock settled down and found the signal and has been working for the last week. 12.10.2010

Anne, just to let you know that my clock has started working again. After giving up on it I left it for 24 hrs re inserted the battery and lo it is now working perfectly.
I'm guessing there may have been a problem with the radio signal.
