Have a vaillant ecotec plus 824. Real problems!!The water gets hot for about a minute then goes cold and stays cold?...... An engineer came yesterday to stabilise the pressure as needle was going into the red and to establish why the heating wasn't working. he found that the diverter valve was faulty and that there was water in the expansion vessel. having bled the system and installed a magnoclean filter - but not yet sorted diverter valve - tomorrow! we now have this new problem!! please any advice as I think the engineer is baffled! he reckons once valve is sorted all will be ok. Could magnoclean filter be somehow causing the water to cool? thanks in advance

There should be two taps one for the cold water mains and the other for the pressure. Turn the cold water tap the other way and then turn the pressure tap, you should then hear the water and the pressure will go up.

There isn't a silver braided filling loop on this boiler. It has an internal filling loop.
Look under the boiler and you will see two grey taps. They should read (closed) turn one open fully then open the other one slowly. Watch the pressure gauge or press the minus button (this will show the pressure digitally).
When the pressure reaches 1.2 close both taps.

find the silver braded fillling loop and open the tap on
it until you see the pressure go up
