Baxi Solo 3 PFL 30 80 Boiler - cos of fan replacement?

Had a RGI guy out this morning as pilot light on boiler wouldnt come on.He charged me 90 euro and said the fan needed to be replaced. he was here 5-10 mins.
The cost of the fan is 335 euro plus labour. Does this sound right?

Baxi Solo 3 PFL 30 80 Boiler Its about 6 yrs old and already was serviced about 3 yrs ago when it started to drip water out of it!!

wd40 and fan oil will fix this for sure they stick often. never need replacing unless been stuck for too long n burned out. lovely boiler.

a boiler of that age shouldn't need replaced. one or two faults isn't bad over 6 years. the baxi solo boilers are as good and reliable as just about any others as they are simple, so don't go replacing it needlessly.

Tks guys. Im in Dublin and looked up the cost on the internet and in the uk its about 80 - 160 gbp for a fan. so 335 euro plus labour on top of the 90 sounds a bit much.
Going to get a second opinion tomorrow from a guy who wont charge a call out and he said I might be better off replacing the boiler as it shouldnt be causing this much trouble after 5 - 6 years.

too expensive for this job. call a big company who'll do a fixed price repair and keep quiet about knowing what the fault is! try baxi themselves or british gas if they cover where you live (maybe not as you're saying euros)

sounds a lot for the fan and the half hour to change
