how can i fix overflow in loft?

We have just changed the arm and ball in the tank in the loft . But it is still dripping outof the overflow . The only time it stops is when i'm using the hot water.

The ballcock needs to be adjusted so that it sits lower in the water than the overflow level.

Make sure the ball is fitted correctly on the ballcock arm and the ball has no leaks/cracks.

Adjust the ball float so that the water level is lower...on a type 1 valve you bend the brass arm over your knee - with a type 2 valve the float is adjustable up and down its arm, courtesy of a small bolt. If the fill valve is plastic, there is usually a 10mm nut that you adjust.
