I cant recieve BBC1 and some other channels just freeze. so i checked out my signal and the signal strength goes from 100% to 0% then back to 100% every 5 seconds. the signal quality goes from 50/75% to 0% as well.
ive put a new lnb on and checked all the connections and they seem fine.
as i brought a brand new cable and run it from sky box out the window straight to the lnb and was still getting the same fault.

thank you for taking the time to help me with my problem.
plus im getting it in the neck from my wife as she cant watch eastenders at its normal time, she has to wait till 10 pm on bbc3 :)

I think that Sky only charge £65 and that includes replacing the Sky box if it is faulty.

will try it tomorrow. i did phone an aerial company today and they said the dish could be out of line and they would charge £65 + vat to come out and check it.
i said no thank you. plus they are only 400 mtrs away from my house lol

Sounds like dish alignment then or the STB then. See if you can try the STB on a friend's dish, to see if the fault 'moves' with the box. Alternatively try a different box on your dish.
