can you add another socket to a spur?

can you add another socket to a junction box spur which already has a socket

on a ring final circuit you can spur like for like, that is you can spur a new socket from the ring, this is as per the j box, if you want to take more than this then you have to fuse accordingly at the point of the spur. where the socket is taken from the j box, fit a fused connection at this point max fuse 13a bs1362 (plug fuse), then take the socket from this, as the new sockets are fused at 13amp the cable wont be overloaded, assuming that, the j box is 30amp rated, the circuit does not exceed the the max Zs ie 80% 0f 1.44ohms at the farest end of the circuit for a 32amp mcd type b rule of thumb, and that the circuit is protected by rcd either at the consumer unit or rcd fused connection unit, finally would always reccommend getting someone qualified in to do the work.

Yes, but only if it is appropriately fused.
