How to change a broken light bulbholder?

Whilst trying to change a light globe, I accidently broke the bulb holder...can you please tell me how to replace the holder so that I can put the globe back in place? Thank You

You do not say if the lamp holder is a pendant dangling from the ceiling - a solid fixture screwed to the wall - a table lamp or a standard lamp.

You might consider safely removing the lamp holder from where it is (with the power isolated from it of course) and taking it to a store to buy a replacement.

You will need as a minimum a small screwdriver to undo the terminal screws for the two wires - you may also need other tools depending on the type of holder.

You might also consider asking an old retired gentlemen to do it for you for the price of a couple of beers - or even a professional electrician for the price of a meal out for two.

Good luck
