Needs new drum from hotpoint £109... You can't change bearings as it's welded shut..:(

its the drum bearings very difficult to get to and even harder to replace. About £30 new bearing

Had the same problem with my hotpoint (different model though)... Horrendous noise on spin ... engineer came out checked it over .. all OK but suggested it was under loaded. It's been fine since.

What kind of noise....banging? grinding? squeeling? You need to be more specific.
