How do I remove the child lock from my Schneider video?

I have a Schneider svc616 recorder and out of the blue the child lock has come on. I've had it a long time and can't find the manual -can anyone please tell me how to remove it, as I don't even know how I put it on!

From checking other answers on this website, it was suggested to hold down the vcr button for 6 secs for another make, so I tried it with the child lock button on my remote just by chance and it worked! So mystery solved for me - and it might just work for other makes too!
