Husqvarna chaisaw stops running?

When trying to over half throttle the chainsaw dies. I took the air filter off and blocked the intake with my hand and it runs wide open no problem. What can I check to fix the problem?

Dont forget to do the easy stuff first, replace the fuel filter in the tank, check for any cracks or splits in the fuel hose, do all this before touching the carb, always remember that if you start adjusting fuel mixtures to compensate for a fuel starvation issue other problems will follow. Never adjust the high jet unless you have some means of checking the free running speed ( tacho )

Either your carburetor is out of adjustment or you need a rebuild. Try turning the "H" or High speed jet counter-clockwise about 1/4 to 1/2 turn to start with. Keep doing this until it picks up and runs right at high speed. If it doesn't straighten out then you might need a rebuild.
