Can I fix this myself?

My 4 year old Whirlpool will not finish rinse cycle, drain water, or go into spin cycle. It is an 8 cycle/4 speed and the back panel is absolutely a pain to remove.

On the back of the control panel are two recessed screws loosen and lift panel, when you lift up the panel you will notice two metal clips use a screw driver and pop out clips, next disconnect the lid switch and now you can remove the cabinet. Use the screw driver to unclip the lid switch from the underside of the cabinet. When reinstalling cabinet ensure that the bottom is properly aligned with the notches on the frame if not cabinet will rattle in spin cycle also make sure to use the right screws when reinstalling the lid switch (they resemble the control panel screws but smaller. good luck.
