Someone spilled Coke on my laptop and since that incident, I have not been able to use it. How do I repair it so that it can start functioning?

i am trying to install my new laptop screen for a dell 1525 the screws don't line up so i need to use some of the tape like dell had on it already does anyone know what kind it is i think it is aluminum foil tape or aluminized tape which one help
