how can I fix a broken LCD screen at home?

i dropped the MP3 player and the screen is black, how can I fix it at home without buying another one?

I think in most small pen style MP3 Players there is a ribbon that is cliped on to the PBC Board it is esy todo but fiddley.

If the LCD is not working you might open the cast and look for a serial number, or ID number on the LCD. then check venders like Mouser, or Digikey for the same screen. If you are unable to find a replacement you might look on ebay for a broken version of the MP3 player you have and out of two make one good one. Anyway you cut it you are going to spend alot of time soildering, and if you have no skill at soldering you might just be better off to save up and get a new one.

Sorry for the bad news.
