same model same problem - pic went all of a sudden at first i thought it might be the scart connection - manufacture date is nov 2007 cant remember when i bought it but it seems a bit young to die and er expensive

I have the same problem. Apparently it is the back light invertor. My set is a TLU 03223B and the part number is DAC 24T042AF. HOWEVER, it seems Polaroid spares are impossible to get hold of so if you do please let me know where from. It seems we made a bad mistake in buying a polaroid.
