Why does our water run cold when the boiler is off?
Our boiler is only about 4 years old. Now when the boiler is off our hot water taps run cold, even sometimes when the boiler is on. There is no problem with the heating of the radiators.
sounds like the divertor valve is not operating when you open the hot water tap, this diverts the mains cold water around the heat exchanger which gets heated then runs out the taps, depending on model it is not a big job
