DIPLOMAT SEMI INTEGRATED DISHWASHER?

Hi.

Diplomat semi integrated(control panel on top face not internal top edge of door) with 3 settings knob quick wash 40 and 70 with led lights in green and seperate start button. Dishwasher has water in bottom and i have tried to clean filters and grey plastic mesh around and cant get it going. The start light works and the machine makes a slight humming noise that appears to be trying to heat the water, but then it stops after about 30 secs and start light continuously flashes. Please help as i cannot afford a new one and i heard you guys are pretty good in solving issues.

Kind regards

Simon

how do i remove the pump? is it located underneath?

The noise you hear is almost certainly the pump trying (in vain) to evacuate water & it has timed out after "x" seconds. There is a either a blockage in the drain system or your pump is history. It isn't the heater element making the noise you hear. Have you broken any glasses in the machine lately? a small glass piece can cause an awfully big headache.
I don't know if you are mechanically minded but you could start first by checking the drain hose for restrictions, if that's ok you should empty the remainig water by whatever means you have at hand then check in the well for any kind of debris, broken glass etc. If that is clear then I'm afraid you have to think about removing the pump & checking it.
