How can I access floppy disc and recover data?

When i try to read floppy disc error message " A is not accessible the disc media is not recognised, it may not be formatted"

This was a word document.

Use a program called BadCopy Pro, just type it into Yahoo to find it, it will recover data from floppy and CD's etc...

Scan the disk with the windows utility.
If that fails write protect your floppy disk and then try to copy it. From Run command diskcopy A: B:
Try the floppy disk in a second floppy drive.
