How do I remove the starter on a Ford 3930? ?

My 3930 made some awful noises when I turned it off. I now get a grinding noise when I use the starter and it does not turn over. I'm hoping I have starter problems. The Ford 7310 loader is on -any tips or helpful suggestions?
Thanks.

If the loader is on the floor access is virtually im possible, you may have to drop the loader arms off. Disconnect the battery. Remove the harness wires to the starter solenoid (make a note of the connections), remove the three retaining bolts which hold starter assembly to the engine backplate, start with the bolt nearest the the engine block. (9/16 AF socket, 3/8 unc bolts).
