What causes my Baxi Back Boiler to knock (bang) when Hot?

Boiler knocks when first firing up and then when hot without hot water being used. Could it be scaling in boiler or tank ? Any ideas please ?

It certainly could be boiler 'kettling' due to scale or rubbish in the system.....I assume the circulating pump is working if the rads. are getting hot.
