My BAXI 105 HE BOILER LOOSES PRESSURE & FAILS? WHY?

Hello & Help,

I write in desperation following a nightmare weekend!

I have a central heating system comprising of a BAXI 105 HE condensing boiler (which was installed about 12 months ago). The system has been increasingly losing pressure and although I have been topping up MCWS using the filling loop the pressure is now dropping from approx 2 bar to nil within 10 minutes. There is no sign of the external relief pipe discharging, so I have come to the conclusion (with the help of an expensive plumber) that there must be a leak SOMEWHERE on the distribution system. The major problem i have is that all the pipework is hidden under floor MDF sheets. I am continuously filling the system in the hope that a water stain appears but in the last 5 hours nothing!

Do you know of any other possible cause, a leak detection method or a good pipe sealer? Your help would be much appreciated.

Many Thanks

Andrew

hi this all sounds just like the problem i am experiencing with my Baxi 105e the pressure drops in the system over night or after a few hours I have been topping up with the filling loop also, but it does not last.and so will not heat any water on demand.
There is no sign of a leak anywhere, but there must be one maybe from a connection at the boiler?
I just dont know,I will keep looking, there has to be an answer somewhere!
