How to extend the pins on a G4 halogen bulb 12volt?

I am changeing the 12V Halogen bulbs in my motorhome to LEDs. The connection is the same on both bulbs: two slender pins about 1cm apart. three of the G4 Led's will need the pins extending 2cm to fit the lampshades.
Has anyone an idea how I can fix extensions onto the
exsisting pins.
These pins are the same dia,as a dressmakers steel pin
could I possibly use these? If so any idea's how I should fix them together.
I would really appreciate any advice

Sounds very dodgy to me...

But if you really must...

Consider a model shop (aircraft & cars etc) a well stocked one will be able to supply brass tube in a variety of small diameters and piano wire to fit. You will need wire cutters to cut the piano wire to length and a fine saw for the tubing.

I usually wish people good luck but I can't bring myself to say it this time...
