Dishwasher makes knocking noise and water does not drain?

Hotpoint Ultima SDW80
I have cleaned the filters, removed the drain pipe from underneath washbasin to check for blockage. Tried blowing into the pipe to check if it's blocked but but could not blow through the pipe (due to valve?).

Try pulling the dishwasher forward and checking the draining hose for any kinks, bends etc - this happened to ours and we managed to cut the kinked hose so it was straight again Good luck
