how to cover kitchen cupboard doors which have worn out imitaion teak wood ?

how to cover or paint imitation teak appearance which looks terrible.should i attempt to varnish or paint them. or is there a product that anybody knows of to make a good job of it . the cupboard is fine otherwise its just the appearence. thank you

There is a special paint for old kitchen cupboards.
Saying that there is also good info on this on ebay
