MIELE DISHWASHER G646SC - TERRIBLE NOISE?

Dishwasher is making a terrible whirring noise whilst running. Sounds like an old electric motor on its last legs! Machine is approx 6 or 7 years old. I have opened up and checked no blockage by impeller. Any ideas? Not sure whether its worth paying call out charge for repair - Past experience on other appliances have ended up costing me lots of money - get one thing repaired then another thing goes bust on old machines. Any thoughts welcome, thanks

If it makes the noise during the washing cycle then it's not your pump. The problem is the circulation motor. Either a piece of broken glass has found its way in in there or the seals are shot. Broke any glasses in there lately?

i had the same problem with mine and i was told to check the rubber seal by the proplellor and yes that did it,it may be use to you if its the same but you have to tip it up side down to get at it ok
