Repairing coving?

I am in the process of re-decorating a 1930's house and in the process of removing the years of built-up paint I have chipped the coving/ceiling rose in several places.

Can anyone advise on how to fix the plaster on these?

Thanks!

Buy a box of Patching Plaster from a DIY store mix a little with water in a container to a fairly stiff mix,and apply to the damaged area with an old credit card or similar, leave to dry then sand down with sandpaper, apply more plaster if there are holes and repeat the process.Don't mix to much plaster as it goes off quite quickly.
