guitar problem?

i had fender noiseless pickups put in my strat a few years ago and now its seems when i plug it in to the amp i am getting a buzz from it it seems like when you touch the metal parts on it the buzz goes i think it could be the earth wire in the guitar what do you think.

once you have check and eliminated the lead, check another guitar(if you have one) to make sure the problem isnt with the amp.

I think so too - you need to inspect the grounding - check the jack plug socket first - if you have another cable and guitar to plug into you amp - substitution will help decide where the problem lies.
