why stereo tuntable wont work?

Hi I own a zenith allegro stereo its 70 s, Its in great condition but the turntable wont go around any ideas what the problem is........I love this system thanks Debbie

Can't be sure Debbie but it sounds as if the belt drive has either broken or become detatched.
