leaking washing machine?

I own a kenmore 70 series i cannot find the leak I have checked out all the hoses and do not see anything. But my floor is soaking wet.

It was leaking between the seal at the top of the drum and the lid of the washer - a hole had rusted through the top of the machine so the water would splash out the top and down the sides.

My Hotpoint top load was doing the same. It looks like the pump and hoses are all fine. The water seems to be coming from the seal between the rotating and stationary drums. I'll put up another post when I find out more.

Hello,

Your going to have to open up the washer cabinet to find out where the water is coming from. It could be the pump but check it out first. The whole cabinet is removed in one piece. Start by removing the plastic endcaps (if you have them) on your console. Once these are removed, remove the screws to the console and pull the console towards the front slightly then flipping it back. Under the console you will see the lid switch connector, unplug it. Stick a flat screwdriver into the clips and push handle toward the rear of the washer to release the clips. Once those are out stand in front of the washer grab the middle and side of the cabinet and rock it toward you and place it out of the way.
