I can not hear music in my player?

I can not hear music in my player and the player say is empty, but when i put in the computer i can see all songs and hear the music,Can you help me?

find what format the mp3 player takes and get a converter that can convert it.
btw not all mp3 players use the mp3 format even though thats the name
