I've repaired over 100 of these.First time is a difficult process if you are not experienced in soldering and will probably result in failure or further damage to the tv.Consider taking it to a tv shop.Another alternative is to connect your signal source to the a/v inputs if your tv has them,at no costs other than a set of a/v cables .Good luck,Jim
